On Sunday, November 20th, at 5pm, cannabis culture guru and world renowned geneticist, DJ Short, will be hosting a seminar here at Om of Medicine on the cultivation of cannabis (doors will open at 4:30pm). Topics include, but are not limited to:

• Basic and advanced growing tips and techniques
• Therapeutic aspects
• Species variance of different strains
• Quality selection process
• Industry ethics
• The history of both cannabis cultivation and culture

Genetics will also be available. The seminar is $30 for both patients and non-patients, and FREE for anyone who has attended a DJ Short seminar at the Om of Medicine in the past.

Join us for our bi-monthly talent show! This event is FREE for members, and guests are welcome to come watch whether or not they are medical cannabis cardholders. The show will be held here at Om of Medicine on Saturday, October 1st, at 9pm. We will close for business at 8pm, and doors will reopen at 8:30pm.

Whether you want to be a viewer or a participant, you are more than welcome to stop in! During the intermission, we will have a roll-off to see how many joints you can roll in 3 minutes – there are only six spaces, so make sure to sign up! Regardless of whether or not you win a prize in the roll-off, you get to keep as many joints as you can roll.

Prizes will include:

1st Place – $100 or Quarter of your choice

2nd Place – $50 or Eighth of your choice

3rd Place – $25

All talent show participants will receive a free edible of their choice, or a free pre-roll.

A little more about our comedian:

John F. O’Donnell (JFOD) is currently a ‘Political Correspondent’ on the comedy news television program ‘Redacted Tonight.’ According to the Comedy Central Insider, “John F. O’Donnell is one of the more explosive comics in New York City. On stage, he’s like a tightly capped liter of soda filled with lit fireworks.”

John has been featured in The New York Times, The LA Times and The Huffington Post, as well as being one of Comedy Central’s Fresh Faces of Comedy. He has performed at a number of comedy festivals around the country and beyond, including The San Francisco Sketch Festival, The Bridgetown Comedy Festival, The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, The New York Comedy Festival, The New Orleans Hell Yes Festival, The Bentzen Ball Comedy Festival, and The Limestone Comedy Festival. He’s been a favorite guest on the popular podcasts RISK! w/ Kevin Allison, Keith and The Girl, You Made It Weird w/ Pete Holmes, You Had To Be There w/ Nikki & Sara, and Skeptic Tank w/ Ari Shaffir. John is also the co-creator and host of the 8-city hit show, 50 First Jokes.

He recently performed a week of shows in Germany, where he headlined at the prestigious ‘English Theatre Berlin.’ John has also performed at the legendary ‘JFK Center For The Performing Arts,’ and has been interviewed by Larry King. JFOD has been given a Congressional Press Credential and can currently be seen covering the 2016 Presidential Election on location for ‘Redacted Tonight,’ which, if you know him, seems like a terrible breach of security.
