Marijuana, the Law, and You
01/23/2020 -- 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Join us for an open discussion about the new marijuana laws in the state. How will they look in Ypsilanti? How do they affect you? Bring your questions and curiosity to hear from Jamie Lowell and Rick Thompson, leaders in the cannabis community who were directly involved in Prop 1, which passed, bringing us recreational cannabis. All are welcome to attend and some literature for further study will be available.

Comedy Night at Om!
02/01/2020 -- 8:30 pm - 11:00 pm
Another hilarious night of comedy on its way! On February 1st we'll be featuring Michael Bussler and Adam Degi in our member lounge. Hailing from parts unknown, Michael Bussler, a.k.a. "Iron Mike" is a comedian you don't want to miss. He's worked with Brian Posehn, performed at Laughfest, and is the Second Funniest Person in Grand Rapids. When Iron Mike is in town you better be around! You can find him on YouTube & Twitter! Adam Degi isn’t just another straight white male comedian. He’s bald, and his talent and joke writing separates him from the pack. He was part of The Best Of The Midwest Competition at Gilda's Laughfest in 2019. His Debut Album "His Name Is My Name Too" was released in 2017 and is available on iTunes and SiriusXM. Adam performed at the prestigious Boston Comedy Festival in 2016. In 2014 he was in the Semi-Finals of the Comedy 10K as well as being featured on the cover of Revue Magazine. He won the Funniest Person in Grand Rapids Competition in 2009 just his 2nd year into comedy and he's the founder of the annual Degi Draft.
His strangely endearing personality and ability to riff, rant and improvise sets him apart and makes every show unique. With an unapologetic, outspoken, unfiltered, and often unscripted act it’s difficult to tell when he’s telling a well written joke or just getting something off his chest. Adam Degi is anything but predictable and when he has a microphone in his hand you never know what might happen. He might even sing A cappella. He's got the voice of an angel so grab a seat and pay attention.Doors open at 8:30pm and the show begins at 9pm! This event is free and open to the public, 21+. Please email email@example.com to RSVP as seating is limited.
