Livestream Grow Seminar w/ DJ Short

The legendary geneticist, DJ Short, will be streaming LIVE on Om's Facebook & Twitch for another growing seminar! Mark your calendar for Sunday, June 14th, to watch this in-depth, educational workshop, that includes opportunities for open-floor questions at the end. During this event, we'll be raising donations for the U of M community organization, Prison Creative Arts Project! We have been working with PCAP for the past couple years and want to continue supporting their work to provide creative outlets to incarcerated artists as a way of therapy, livelihood, and self-expression. We enjoy having multiple PCAP art pieces on display at Om (also on our online art gallery!), and have even gotten the chance to meet some of the artists in person, bringing us closer to the organization and community. A breeder since the early 70’s, DJ Short has produced some of the most unique strains found anywhere on the planet. His Blueberry strain, described by some as “the most wonderful form of marijuana to date”, placed first in the Indica category at the 2000 Cannabis Cup. Discussion topics will include, but are not limited to: • Basic to advanced level growing tips & techniques • Therapeutic aspects • Species variance of different strains • Quality selection process • Industry ethics • History overview of both cannabis cultivation & culture The seminar is absolutely free for all viewers, but we do ask that you donate to PCAP. Our incarcerated and re-entering community members need our help more than ever right now during COVID-19. Any amount donation can go a long way for this organization and the artists that they support! Please reach out to us with any questions by emailing us at info@omofmedicine.org or calling us at (734)369-8255. Comedy Night

Our October featured comedians are Nick Leydorf and Luke Nesbitt! This free event is open to the community! Doors open at 8:30pm and the show is from 9-11pm. Seating is limited, please email us at info@localhost to RSVP.

Lawyer by day, stand up by night, Nick Leydorf is comedy’s version of Daredevil. Audacious as he is witty, Leydorf confesses his sins across the country with lawful skill. Always the defender of truth, this comedian aligns his values with everything funny. It’s the little things in life that aid his perspective. Leydorf brings remarkable joy to audiences, all the while lamenting the life of a would-be law student. Lend Nick Leydorf your ear; you won't be sorry you did.
Based out of Lansing, Michigan, Nick has worked with Kyle Kinane, Chad Daniels, Nate Bargatze, Joe Derosa, Alonzo Bodden, Sean Patton and Dave Landau to name a few. He has been a part of several festivals around the country such as Cleveland Comedy Festival, What a Joke Festival, Crossroads Comedy Festival, Border City Comedy Festival, Big Time Garbage Festival, Motor City Comedy Festival, Stoopfest and Gilda's Laughfest. He recently debuted his one man show about being a lawyer called "Free Consultation." He is also the co-host of the "Free Consultation" podcast. Follow him on Instagram @comedianatlaw
Straight out of college, Luke Nesbitt uses a wink and shrug to bring you into his state of mind. A 90s kid at heart, this Michigan son hashes out his issues with pop culture while winding down the road of life. Luke’s charm and appeal rests comfortably on a gust of wind. Just two years into comedy, Luke has had the pleasure of performing in Festivals such as “Laughfest” and can be seen regularly on stages all across Michigan performing with the likes of Jeff Horste (Comedy Central), Brad Wenzel (Conan, JFL) Gianmarco Soresi (Netflix, Comedy Central) and many more
