World renowned geneticist and cannabis culture guru, DJ Short is holding a limited admission cultivation seminar on Sunday October 26th at 5PM at the Om of Medicine (Doors open at 4:30PM). He will discuss topics including but not limited to: basic and advanced growing tips and techniques, therapeutic aspects, species variance of different strains, quality selection process, industry ethics, and the history of both cannabis cultivation and culture. Genetics will be available. The seminar is $30 for both patients and non-patients and FREE for anyone who has attended a DJ Short seminar at the Om of Medicine in the past.

I just wanted to say thanks again to DJ Short for coming out, and sharing a lot of information that most people don’t have access to. The seminar was great, absolutely worth $30, and covered some very important points I hadn’t previously given much thought to; ethics in the industry, how to rate a strain beyond relying on the % THC given by a lab test, as well as introducing me to new terms, such as cystolithic trichomes, and their unique method of oil and resin production.
I’d recommend the seminar to anyone with several grows under their belt, who has mastered basic concepts like pH, light sources, NPK levels in nutrients, and is looking to step up their game to become a guru, not just a grower.
Before you attend a seminar like this, you may want to do a google image search to see what the instructor looks like, otherwise you may end up talking to him outside about Burning Man, and then inviting him to his own class like I did!
