Rachel 768 1024 omie

Rachel grew up in Monroe, Michigan and recently moved to Ann Arbor. She began using medical cannabis to improve her creativity, mental health, and quality of life. Drawn to people of all walks of life, she knew as soon as she began at Om that this is where she is meant to be in this moment. Rachel chose to enter the cannabis industry with the hope to help this incredible plant positively impact others’ lives in the same way that it has touched her own. In her free time, Rachel can typically be found with her nose in a novel, with some vegan munchies beside her, and enjoying the peace of the outdoors.

Daniel 768 1024 omie

Daniel is a midwesterner through and through who hails from the suburbs of Chicago and has now planted his roots in the northern suburbs of Detroit.  He traveled around the nation for higher learning and has earned degrees in Business Administration at Champlain College in Burlington, VT and Culinary Arts at Scottsdale Culinary Institute in Arizona. Daniel found his way to Om of Medicine and the cannabis industry after working in the hospitality food & beverage business for the past 22 years.  He is a classically trained chef, and although he doesn’t cook professionally anymore, he is still a dedicated foodie and passionate artist at heart.  When he isn’t following Chicago sports teams or spending time with his young family, Daniel can be found noodling on one of four instruments or attending live shows and music festivals.  He hopes to continue bringing the positive and upbeat vibe to Om, emphasizing world class service to our patients and an amazing place for our staff to call Om.

Chad 1024 924 omie

Chad was born and raised in the Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor area, and recently graduated from Michigan State University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Health Promotion. Chad has always been a strong believer in the healing properties of cannabis, but it was not until he experienced early on-set arthritis in his hip and began losing mobility that he became a true advocate for this amazing plant. Since being a patient, he has completely regulated his pain by pharmaceutical-free means, and wants to help his community of Ann Arbor to reap similarly amazing health benefits. As one of Om’s Patient Consultants, Chad values making all patients that come through our doors feel welcome, heard, and supported. Outside of Om Chad likes to spend his time traveling, enjoying good food with family, and taking his dog Ace though Ann Arbor’s nature trails.

Jim Salame
Jim Salame 683 1024 admin

Jim Salame morphed with the Om of Medicine as the General Manager in 2012. Before joining, he was a musical performer at Om’s Comedy shows, as well as a volunteer, performer and organizer for Om’s political fundraisers.

Further back in time, Jim worked in several vastly different industries developing his customer service and managerial expertise. He worked in Hollywood for major studios like Paramount Pictures and Fox Studios, along with countless restaurants. Soon after, Jim found himself in the mountains of Aspen, working for the Aspen Ski Company where snowboarding and cannabis had him singing Rocky Mountain high. Corporate start-ups and more television gigs followed his stay in Colorado along with a brief stint working for the Department of Justice.

A family member’s illness brought Jim back to Michigan and into the medical aspects of cannabis for cancer treatment. Back in Ann Arbor, he worked for a few years at Apple Inc after the release of the first iPhone. It was the longest he had worked for one company until starting his greatest job of all in helping build the Om of Medicine. Today, in his free time, Jim enjoys music and traveling to Peru for the plant medicines and diverse ecosystems of the Amazon.

Brianna 964 1024 admin

Bri is a proud product of Ann Arbor public schools and a recent graduate from the University of Michigan. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Movement Science at the School of Kinesiology, following her interests in human physiology and motor control development.

There were many factors that captured Bri’s love for cannabis including its natural holistic healing approach and its rich evolutionary and sociopolitical history. The relatively high-safety profile of cannabis as a medication in addition to its extensive therapeutic window further inspired her to learn as much as she can about this versatile plant.

Bri is passionate about researching and understanding the complexity of our endocannabinoid system and the vast properties of health benefits that come from introducing external cannabinoids extracted from the cannabis plant. As the Patient Care Coordinator at Om, she focuses on facilitating a comfortable & educational environment that prioritizes personalized assistance for each patient. On her days off, Bri loves exploring new nature trails with her dog, Charlie, and finds comfort in reading novels and listening to records.
